Tyla accepted her “Best New Artist” trophy with a heartfelt speech, dedicating her win to Africa and thanking her team, family, and BET for pushing the culture. “This is crazy,” she said, overwhelmed with emotion. “Firstly, I love Sexy Red. Oh my gosh. I can’t. I love her so much. This is such a gift to be here. I just want to dedicate this one to Africa.
