DJ Tira has issued a warning to the public about a potential scammer targeting people ahead of the Durban July 2024 event
DJ Tira has issued a warning to the public about a potential scammer targeting people ahead of the Durban July 2024 event. The scammer, identified as Bandile, has been approaching individuals claiming to be able to secure them jobs at the Afrotainment Durban July Marquee in exchange for six months’ worth of bank statements. This is a clear attempt to extort money and personal information from unsuspecting victims.
DJ Tira has advised people not to share their banking details or personal information, emphasizing the importance of being cautious, especially during this time of year when scammers often try to take advantage of people’s excitement and desperation. He encourages everyone to be vigilant and not fall prey to such scams.
“We strongly advise against sharing banking details or personal information,” Tira said. “People need to be careful; there are a lot of chances, especially around this time of the year. The Durban July is a big deal; everyone wants a piece of the pie, so we must be careful.”
By raising awareness about this potential scam, DJ Tira hopes to protect people from being exploited and ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience at the Durban July event.
