DJ Mustard Unveils Tracklist and Star-Studded Features for “Faith of a Mustard Seed”
DJ Mustard has revealed the tracklist for his highly anticipated fourth album, “Faith of a Mustard Seed”, set to release on July 26th. The album features a stacked lineup of A-list talent, including Travis Scott, Vince Staples, ScHoolboy Q, Ty Dolla $ign, Charlie Wilson, Future, Roddy Ricch, Ella Mai, and Kirk Franklin.
Title Inspiration
In an interview with XXL, Mustard shared that the late Nipsey Hussle suggested the album title during their work on “Perfect Ten”. Mustard chose to use the title for this album due to the soulful nature of the tracks being recorded.
Lead Singles
The album’s lead single, “Parking Lot” featuring Travis Scott, was released last month, followed by the ten-minute closing track “Pray For Me”, which features two verses from Mustard himself. Notably, Mustard had previously pledged to never rap on one of his own songs but made an exception for this track.
West Coast Representation
The album showcases strong West Coast representation, with “Pressured Up” featuring Vince Staples and ScHoolboy Q, their first collaboration since 2016. Frequent collaborator Ty Dolla $ign and legendary R&B/funk/soul artist Charlie Wilson appear on two tracks together.
Speculation Surrounding “Track 5”
Fans have noted the absence of YG and Kendrick Lamar from the tracklist, but the lack of listed features on “Track 5” has sparked speculation that one of them may appear on that song.
DJ Mustard’s Banner Year
“Faith of a Mustard Seed” caps off a remarkable year for DJ Mustard, who produced Kendrick Lamar’s #1 single “Not Like Us” and performed at The Pop Out, bringing out notable collaborators like YG.
