Lil Wayne Breaks Silence on Cash Money Reunion Snub
Lil Wayne, the crown jewel of Cash Money, finally spoke out about his absence from the label’s reunion show at the Essence Festival. Instead of apologizing or explaining his no-show, he shared a humorous anecdote on Instagram Live.
When a fan messaged him saying he should have performed with the rest of the label, Wayne playfully responded, “What you talking about? The afterparty or something?” He seemed uninterested in revisiting the past, but did give a shoutout to the other artists who performed at the festival.
Weezy also denied any involvement in the rumored Hot Boys reunion album, claiming he knows nothing about it. “Sh*t, you just told me,” he said on a recent podcast.
It’s a confusing time for Cash Money fans, but one thing’s for sure – Lil Wayne is still the king of the label’s legacy, and his solo performance at the Essence Festival proved it.”
